Company Managers and Supervisors are required to recognise and accept their responsibilities to maintain health and safety standards and to assist in the development and implementation of effective safety management programmes for their areas of operation.
All employees and Contractors are required to participate in their safety management program and to work in a manner that ensures the safety of all personnel including themselves; to acquaint themselves with and abide by all relevant safety regulations; to use the appropriate safety equipment provided; and to immediately correct or report any hazards they encounter in their workplace environment.
NWC is committed to achieving the highest standards of safety performance at all levels of our organisation and expects a similar commitment from all of our personnel as a natural element of the work process.
NWC Facilities Management operates under a Safety Management System that has a proven track record. We have developed sophisticated systems for all facets of our operations to meet both our requirements and to exceed the client’s expectations.
As part of our Safety Management Systems, our safety program includes regular facilities inspections, emergency drills, procedural safety manual review, hazard assessment and management. Toolbox Safety Meetings are conducted on a regular basis and include activities such as presentations and training of personnel to recognise and deal with safety issues within their work environment.
NWC Facilities Management has established a strong behavioural based safety culture and safety awareness within its work force. The Company places substantial emphasis on safety management as an integral part of our operations. This is evident in our safety performance which is second to none. The company and its employees' commitment to safety is evident through numerous awards and the appointment of a dedicated Health and Safety Practitioner to manage the day to day Environmental Health and Safety of our employees.
